I am certainly writing today with a more positive outlook than in the previous months. The vaccination of so many of our citizens has made a difference and I see sun a little brighter on the horizon.
Many of us have once again been able to interact with our families and friends and that has brought so much joy. Wonderful to enjoy a visit on a patio or a backyard BBQ…Yum yum!! Life is just a little bit more normal at last. It’s been a long 17 months!!
Our Council has not been very active, but we are itching to get going again and just waiting for the light to turn green and we’ll be at it.
John Kern and Sarah Trant have been working on a project for some months. It concerns scams that we might encounter and is well worth the read. “SCAMS and how they can hurt you.” You will find a link to it on our Home page in the Bulletin Board section.
John is still posting recipes for us and are very inspiring. Take a minute and find something new to try at dinnertime. These are also on our website.
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather and taking advantage of the many walking paths available in our community. One of my favourites is the Beaver Pond that provides an opportunity for an easy walk or a more challenging one. The ducks, birds and geese have provided many hours of enjoyment and the tranquillity of the visit is good for the soul.
I am hoping that the next time I will have some news of renewal of our activities. I have been asked time and time again when we will be back in business, and I will let you know as soon as I do. In the meantime, keeping enjoying the simple things in life, stay safe and take great joy in the small things each day.
