at the City of Ottawa’s Kanata Seniors’ Centre.
General Information
Download the Centre’s latest newsletter here for all the latest information on courses, events, movies, etc., and see the Event Bulletin Board and carousel below.
Reservations are not required but please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the activity. There are room capacity limits so there is a chance of being turned away on that day.
“Courses” are programs put on by the Centre. There is a registration fee for some of the courses and a Centre membership is required. Memberships are available from the Centre’s Front Desk for $30.35/year.
“Events” are activities, usually organized by the Council’s Travel & Lifestyle committee, that are one-of-a-kind or only available at certain times of the year. Check the Centre’s newsletter or the Event Bulletin Board and carousel below for upcoming events.

EVENT NAME: Rideau Carleton Casino
DATE/TIME OF EVENT: Thursday, September 5th from 3:30pm to 8:00pm
EVENT COST: $5 plus the cost of your meal & any gambling
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Experience the thrill of harness horse racing, enjoy a memorable meal, and try out your luck in the casino. Just maybe Lady Luck will be thinking of you on this day.

EVENT NAME: Kanata Theatre’s “Lettice & Lovage” with Lunch at Buster’s
EVENT LOCATION:
12:15pm: Meet for Lunch at Buster’s Bar & Grill (420 Hazeldean)
2:30pm: Kanata Theatre: Lettice & Lovage (1 Ron Maslin Way)
DATE/TIME OF EVENT: Sunday, September 15th from 12:15pm to 4:30pm
EVENT COST: $25 plus the cost of your meal
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Peter Shaffer’s riotous comedy and satirical play about a flamboyant tour guide who loves to embellish the history behind an English country house and who butts heads with a fact-conscious official at the house.
Participants arrange their own transportation.
