The Council Café

The primary purpose of our Council Café is for seniors to have a place to socialize while enjoying a hot or cold beverage, a meal, or snacks, at reasonable prices. 

The Council Café, run by volunteers of The Kanata Seniors Council Inc., is a welcoming space for all area seniors, their friends, and families. It’s not just for members of the Kanata Seniors Council or the Kanata Seniors’ Centre but for everyone in our community.

We are now serving hot meals from 11:30 am and 1:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Our Café is a place of variety, offering not just hot and cold beverages but also sandwiches, soups, and desserts all day long. There’s something for everyone, every time you visit.

Please note: 

Beverages may be removed from the Café however, food must still be consumed in the Cafe or taken out of the building.

Café Hours:

  • Open weekdays from 9:00 am till 2:30 pm.
  • We are closed from 11:00 am on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month as our kitchen is in use by the Diners Club.
